Bulletin editor

Sign in with Google, or have a one-time link emailed to you — either works, and both reach the same account. The email carries a code as well as a link, for when you are reading it on your phone and signing in on a different computer. Access is given by an administrator; if you cannot get in, ask your bishopric.

Bulletins

    Readership

One row per bulletin per day, counting devices, not people. A device is a random token the browser keeps to itself, hashed with the date before it is sent — so two days cannot be matched up and nobody is identified. A phone and a laptop are two; a private window each time is a new one every time. Days are Central Time.

First time is the browser's own answer to “had I been here before today?”, sent as a single bit. It says whether readership is the same people coming back or new ones arriving, without the site ever holding anything that could follow somebody. A cleared browser reports itself as new, so read it as a shape rather than a count.

    Ward leaders

These print on the back panel, in two columns. Phone numbers never reach the public page — they are stored separately and anonymous readers cannot request them.

    No leaders listed yet.

    Standing links

The same every week. One QR code on the printed bulletin leads to the online version, where these are real links; printed, only their names appear beside that code.

    No standing links yet.

    Standing notices

Short lines that print at the foot of the back panel every week — who to contact for an appointment with the bishopric, where to send items for the bulletin.

    No standing notices yet.

Who can edit this ward's bulletins

Anybody can be added. If they have never signed in, they are invited by email and become an editor the first time they do.

      The front page

Which tools appear at this address, which is where somebody lands who has only been given the address itself. This is what the front page advertises, not who may use a tool. Anything switched off here still works and still answers for anybody who has its link — so it is the way to finish a tool and announce it later, not a way to keep one private.

        Wards

The web address is where that ward's bulletin is published. Changing it breaks every bookmark and every QR code already printed with the old one, so it saves on its own rather than with the rest of the row. Deleting a ward takes every bulletin it ever published with it — take a backup first.

        Stake administrators

          Stake program moderators

May create, edit and publish this stake’s programs — conference and anything like it. No ward bulletins and no stake settings. A stake administrator already has all of this and does not need listing here.

            Nobody listed yet.

Adding one here is deliberately not possible. A stake administrator can grant every other role, including this one, so that change is made in the database by hand — which is the right amount of friction for it.

            Stake programs

            No stake programs yet.

One program covers a whole weekend. Each meeting inside it is a session, with its own officers and its own order of business.

              What the PDF says

Nothing has been saved yet. Check it over, then create it — everything here can still be edited afterwards.

              Cover
              Officers

Everyone who appears on this program, written once. A name chosen from here anywhere below stays linked to this list — correct a name or a calling here and it changes in every session that uses it. Type a name that is not on this list and that row goes its own way.

              Nobody added yet.

              Announcements

Sizes are relative, so a heavy week still shrinks to fit the printed panel rather than running off it. Pasting brings the words, not the formatting they came with.

              Extra links, just this week

The ward's standing links are set once in Ward details and appear on every bulletin. Add one here only if it is for this week alone.

              No links yet.
